Eight urban explorers coming from diverse cultural backgrounds and cities, lead us go through the ‘Exit’ in their lens at different time and space. As we seek to discover the ‘exit’ deep down inside our hearts, we decided to open a photographic call for entries from eight cities, including Paris, New York, London, Milan, Tokyo, Shanghai, Taiwan and Hong Kong. The heart of this project is not only capturing images of city exits, but also focusing on the angles and views through their eyes.

EXIT City views | Tokyo, Japan by Jus Vun
The sound of trains rattling mercilessly The mass of commuters during peak How they walk by countlessly These faceless souls on the street Black corporate suits, bedraggled urban dwellers Giggling school girls, stall and market sellers Smoky air fills roads narrow and gritty Delving into the alleys and crevasses of the city Hours pass like fleeting moments Days consumed, nothing spoken Existential ennui then alienation Nights filled with hedonism and temptation Over-flowing ashtrays, sake-drenched nights A crescendo of casual encounters and boozed-up fights Extroverted adventures for an introverted mind This love affair, with the city I wine and dine.
